Ray Wirta

Ray Wirta

Ray Wirta is President of the Irvine Company’s Investment Properties Group ("IPG").  In this role, he serves on the Company’s Office of the Chairman management committee that also includes Chairman Donald Bren and ICCD President Dan Young.

As President of IPG, Mr. Wirta has responsibility for operations of the Irvine Company’s portfolio of investment properties. The Company’s high-quality investment portfolio is 98-million square feet and includes 44,000 apartment units, 42-million square feet of office, 41 retail centers, five yacht marinas and world-class resort properties, including Pelican Hill® at Newport Coast®.

Mr. Wirta is a respected real estate executive.  From 1997 to 2005, he served as Chief Executive Officer of CB Richard Ellis and continues to serve as Vice Chairman and Director for the firm.  He served as President of The Koll Company from 1981 to 1997; as Senior Vice President of World Savings from 1979 to 1981; and as President of Continental Service Company (a Bank of America subsidiary) from 1973 to 1979.

Mr. Wirta received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Long Beach State College and an MBA in International Management from Golden Gate University.
